Pharmacy Cashier

My role as a Pharmacy Cashier at Walmart was more than just a job—it was an opportunity to work for a company that had been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a Walmart family, I watched firsthand the dedication, work ethic, and customer-focused values that the company represented. Joining Walmart allowed me to experience those values from a new perspective and helped shape my own professional foundation.

As a Pharmacy Cashier, I was responsible for assisting customers with prescription pickups, processing transactions, handling sensitive information, and helping ensure the pharmacy operated efficiently. Because many customers were visiting the pharmacy during stressful or challenging times, I learned the importance of patience, empathy, and professionalism in every interaction. I worked closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and fellow associates to provide excellent customer service while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

This position taught me how to communicate effectively with people from all walks of life and how to remain calm in a fast-paced environment where accuracy was essential. I gained experience handling confidential information, resolving customer concerns, multitasking, and supporting both customers and coworkers during busy periods. Through daily interactions, I developed stronger problem-solving skills and learned how small acts of kindness and professionalism can make a meaningful difference in someone's day.

Looking back, my time at Walmart played a significant role in shaping my work ethic and customer service mindset. It reinforced the importance of reliability, teamwork, and putting people first. The experience provided a strong foundation that has continued to influence my approach to every role I've held since, whether in education, event coordination, or client-facing positions.
