Event Coordinator

My experience at Film Alley allowed me to combine my passion for customer service, communication, and event planning in a fast-paced entertainment environment. Film Alley is a unique entertainment center that offers bowling, movies, arcade games, dining, and special events all in one location. I originally joined the team as a bartender and server, where I developed strong customer service skills and built relationships with guests. As I gained experience and became more involved in the business, I developed an interest in the event-planning side of the operation and transitioned into an Event Coordinator role.

As an Event Coordinator, I was responsible for planning and organizing a wide variety of events, including birthday parties, corporate gatherings, school functions, and group outings. My role involved reaching out to potential customers, building relationships with future clients, discussing event needs, coordinating details, and ensuring every event ran smoothly from start to finish. I worked closely with multiple departments to create memorable experiences while balancing guest expectations, budgets, and logistics.

One of the most valuable lessons I gained from this experience was learning how to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Every event presented unique challenges, requiring strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and adaptability. Whether I was coordinating with guests, managing timelines, or handling last-minute changes, I learned the importance of staying calm under pressure and focusing on solutions.

This role strengthened my confidence in building professional relationships, leading projects, and creating positive experiences for others. It showed me how effective communication, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to customer service can turn a simple event into a memorable experience for guests and their families.
